Dr. Garrett

Dr. Joshua Garrett started Integrity Eye Care, PC in 2006 with an idea to give every patient the highest quality of care with compassion and concern. Originally from Chattanooga, TN, he received his bachelor of science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Garrett furthered his knowledge and experience by completing an ocular disease residency at the Memphis Veterans Administration Hospital. He is a member of the Middle TN Association of Optometric Physicians, Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians, and American Optometric Association.

Dr. Garrett and his wife Barbara are members of the New Vision Baptist Church. They spend most of their free time chasing down their two adorable daughters, Annslee and Savannah. They love to get involved in the community and support charities as much as possible! Dr Garrett loves to seek out new restaurants and get away to the golf course whenever time permits.

Stephanie

Stephanie joined Stones River Eyecare in 2012. She oversees our day to day operations and ensures your patient experience is an enjoyable one. She most enjoys making a difference in helping preserve one of the best gifts we’ve been given… the gift of sight. When not managing operations, you will find Stephanie working at the front desk, and pretesting. She considers this to be the favorite part of her day because it allows her to have one on one time with the patients that she has developed connections with from seeing their families each year. She will always be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about our office or procedures.

Stephanie is originally from North Carolina. She met her husband Derrick while serving in the US Navy as a hospital corpsman. Stephanie and Derrick have 4 children Zaakira, Zelek, Derrick Jr, and Jordyn. When she is not in the clinic she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, or working out at the gym.

CDC Communications

As of Tuesday evening, March 17, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have recommended all routine eye care be deferred until further notice in order to slow the transmission of COVID-19 throughout our community. We will remain available to triage eye emergencies as well as help you with routine matters during this challenging time. During this period of social distancing and quarantine, we must all do our part by restricting activities outside the home except for getting medical care.

· Routine Eye Exams: If you are scheduled for a routine eye examination appointment for the remainder of March, we will reschedule your appointment. As of March 19, 2020, we will begin rescheduling routine eye examination appointments for April 1st and later.

· I need to replace my glasses. What do I do? Please contact us at 615-410-4422. We may be able extend your prescription during this time and will help you with your eyewear needs.

· I’m nearly out of contact lenses. What do I do? Please contact us at 615-410-4422. We may be able extend your prescription during this time, and/or place an order for your contact lenses and have them shipped to your house.

· I need a refill on the medication prescribed to me by the practice. What do I do? Please contact us at 615-410-4422. We can transmit a refill for your prescription directly to your pharmacy so that you have the medication that you need.

· I have an issue. It cannot wait until you can see me in the office. What can I do? If you have an issue that cannot wait for an office visit, contact us at 615-410-4422 and we will schedule a telephone appointment with one of our doctors. Medicare has temporarily relaxed its telehealth rules to allow for this type of care during the pandemic. Other insurers may follow suit and allow for reimbursement of virtual care costs. The consultation must be initiated at your request.

· What about an eye emergency? What can I do? If you have an ocular emergency, we are, as always, available to help you at any time. Call 615-410-4422 and we will be happy to assist you. I will do my best to accommodate you in the office whenever possible. In some cases, a house call may be possible if you cannot leave your home. If not, I will direct you to the nearest eye emergency facility. I have limited my in-office staff until further notice to protect them, our patients, our community, our nation, and our planet. Despite the financial and emotional hardships this will cause, I ask every one of you to do the same. Together we will weather this storm.

 Sincerely,

 Joshua Garrett, OD
